Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 9, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Sourdough Schedule ("the App", "we", "our") handles your information. By using the App you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address (for email/password sign-in) or your Apple ID identifier and optionally your name/email (for Sign in with Apple). Authentication is handled by Google Firebase Authentication, which stores your credentials and a unique user ID on Google's servers.

Usage & analytics data. We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the App is used — for example which features are opened, schedule and bake actions, and subscription-related events — along with a Firebase-generated app instance identifier and general device/app information. This data is used in aggregate to improve the App.

Crash & diagnostic data. We use Google Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose stability problems. When the App crashes or logs an error, Crashlytics collects a crash report including device model, operating system version, and a diagnostic log, associated with your user ID.

Subscription & purchase data. Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to validate purchases and manage your subscription status; RevenueCat receives purchase/receipt information and an app user ID tied to your account. We never receive or store your payment card details.

Bake content (stored on your device). Your recipes, schedules, bake history, notes, photos, and starters are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework and the device file system. This content — including any photos you attach — does not leave your device unless you enable iCloud Backup in iOS Settings.

Notifications & Live Activities. The App schedules local notifications and Live Activities on your device to track bake steps. This happens entirely on-device.

Biometric authentication (Face ID / Touch ID). If you enable biometric unlock, authentication is performed by iOS on-device. The App never sees or stores your biometric data.

2. How We Use Your Information

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or marketing, and we do not sell your personal information.

3. Third-Party Services

We share information only with the service providers needed to run the App:

We do not use advertising SDKs or sell or rent your personal information.

4. Subscriptions

"Sourdough Schedule Pro" is an auto-renewable subscription offered through the App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account, and your subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your iOS Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Delete your account in-app. You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account inside the App. This deletes your Firebase authentication account and erases the bake content stored on your device (schedules, bake history, notes, photos, and starters).

Deleting the App from your device also removes all locally stored content. Subscription records held by Apple and RevenueCat are retained according to their respective policies; cancel an active subscription through the App Store as described above. If you need help, contact us at hello@sourdoughschedule.com.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (for example the GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can delete your account directly in the App, or contact us at the email below to exercise any of these rights.

8. Security

Authentication and analytics/crash data are handled by Firebase, which encrypts data in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Local bake content is protected by iOS's on-device encryption when your device is locked.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective date" above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
